The power of Forgiveness.
Nelson Mandela wrote,
“As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison,” after 27 years served in prison, tortured and humiliated.
At the end of the day, forgiveness is really not for other person’s benefit at all, it’s for our own. Look into your past and forgive others, look into your heart and forgive yourself.
It doesn’t change the past, but it does enlarge the future, as forgiveness is the only way leading to inner freedom, once you release the tight grasp you’ve been holding on resentment.
As you do, you’ll heal yourself, breathing fresh air that your heart has been craving for. I tried, it worked, amazingly, and I’ve never been so free and loved.
